SECS builds new West Palm Beach wireless tower

Southeastern Communication Services, Inc. (SECS) is in the final stages of completing the installation of a new 390 ft. self-supporting antenna tower for the West Palm Beach School District. It replaces three towers destroyed by Hurricane Wilma in late 2005. The structure will serve as the primary source for countywide instructional television service.
The solid leg tower weighs more than 98 tons. Its three foundations have a leg spread of 46 feet and a depth of 72 feet filled with more than 310 cu. yards of concrete required to support the tower.
